When a woman is pregnant and wants to have an abortion, then the father should have an opinion. If it takes two to create the baby, then it also takes two to end the life of the baby.
The abortion issue is largely devoted to dealing with the rights of the fetus and the mother. The rights and concerns of the father are rarely discussed. The most common case concerning fathers and abortion is when the father wants the mother to have an abortion and the mother doesn't. But sometimes the mother wants an abortion and the father wants her to have the baby. Is an abortion ever morally wrong because it transgresses the father's rights? What type of adult ends a life over their lives when they can always continue it but they can"t bring somebody back to life?

I'll argue that fathers should not have the right to prevent an abortion because they can't force a woman to continue a pregnancy against her will or best interest.

An abortion already includes a mother and a child that are directly suffering from the consequences in one way or another. Fathers don't. Putting them into the equation would make a complicated matter even more unresolvable.

Philosopher George W. Harris has put forward the idea that there are circumstances under which a woman's decision to have an abortion would be morally wrong because it would do harm to the father. We all know that it takes two, but when the mother aborts the child that the father wants, the abortion not only affects the mother, but it also affects the father. What happened to father"s rights? Fathers should have a say in whether or not they want the mother to abort the baby, or not.

meddling in something that is not his business. On the other hand, the father who wants to leave the (mistaken) decision of abortion in the hands of the mother alone is often accused of being uncaring and distant. This, in turn, can create feelings of isolation in the mother, which in turn makes it easier for her to resort to abortion. Furthermore, the law is a powerful teacher. It says the father has no rights in the abortion decision. But the other side of the coin of "rights" is "responsibilities." The current state of the law regarding fathers and abortion can easily foster a sense of irresponsibility in young men. Post-abortion counseling services are seeing an increasing number of men come forward, grieving their aborted children. Many of the same dynamics of post-abortion distress that we see in women are also present in men.
-The abortion not only will affect the parents, but the aborted child. When you abort a child, it"s taking away an innocent life. Sometimes, the parents don"t think about the unborn child, but instead about how the abortion will benefit them, or how the abortion will take away a few obstacles in their life.

Alright fine everyone likes to say "what about rape?" well lets think about that for a minute shall we.
I find it interesting that the same liberals who are for abortion fight against the death penalty.
Liberals please, ya like to say your the intellectuals.... why is common sense so hard for you?
Your thinking is so backward.
You fight to kill the innocent child.... yet fight to save the rapists life.
You liberals really do take to many drugs.
By the way if you kill the baby does it somehow make the rape go away?
If anything, it makes the mother worse then the rapist.... after all murder is worse then rape.....
You have allowed the rapist to pull you down to his level orrrrrrr
You could be a better person then him.
You could turn evil into good.
You could love that child anyway.
So in the end the question is.... are you a better person then the rapist or no better at all......

Let me ask all of you this. How did you feel when you first saw the concentration camps that happened in Nazi Germany? when they showed you how they marched the people into the showers just to gas them. until you actually watched it happen well it was a distant thing that happened somewhere else to someone else. however once you watched it that changed didn't it..... well folks they take a woman into a private room..... the baby is tore apart and thrown into a waste paper basket often..... the hollocaust was 6,000,000, since roe vs wade in 73 we have aborted over 50,000,000 in this country.... the entire amount of people lost in world war two, and the number keeps rising. As bad and as sick as Hitler was he at least killed those he considered his enemies, jews, poles etc etc etc we do it to our own babies. Tell me something how did America become worse then nazi Germany? They call us infidels, they say we have allowed our freedoms to turn us into selfish lazy self serveing people. a generation of fat lazy drunks and druggies who believe in nothing, stand for nothing, unethical, and as much as a despise the terrorists what makes me feel worse is, they are right. America the beautiful, where we demand the right to kill our own babies. friggin sad

When a women is raped I don't think the father should have any rights over the child because he violated the mother, and I don't think a rapist would get any benefit from the child.

Rights and responsibilities. It is interesting isn't it the hypocrisy of this matter. It is a fact that what liberals want is for men to have none of the rights and yet be held responsible for all of the responsibilities. Men should not be able to either demand a abortion nor should he have the right to demand to be allowed to have his child alive. However, he should have to pay the mother for 18 years for the care of any child she chooses to have. They want him taken to court and have money taken from any money he gets. I wonder if women in this societyu will ever understand that by having such unfair and unequal rights that it leads to men mistrusting women and so many men now run for the hills when a woman gets pregnant. By putting men in such a possition young men no longer care .... sad really...

I'm not really attempting to make a point I'm just curious as to what your view is on this.:
What if there is an absentee father/abusive husband or boyfriend in the mix?
What if the women was impregnated via rape?
