Fracking is important to makeing america energy independent and is completely safe

Con

I accept this debate. The burden of the Con is to prove that Fracking is not key to making America energy independent and that Fracking is far from safe.

Definitions:

-Fracking: the process of extracting natural gas from shale rock layers deep within the earth.
-Energy Independence: an objective that can be achieved through the development of alternative transportation fuels and multi-fuel vehicles (including electric), which would give consumers an opportunity to choose a non-petroleum fuel at the pump.
-safe: not in danger: in a position or situation that offers protection, so that harm, damage, loss, or unwanted tampering is unlikely.
_______________________________
My opening statements:
-Fracking is far from being the key to stabilize Americas energy crisis and furthermore, it is much farther from being safe!
Fracking has proved to cause numerous accounts of environmental damage to ground water wells and the land in which the fracking wells are set up. Shale like any other non-renewable resource, only can stabilize an energy crisis for as long as there is shall to be found and therefore cannot be seen as a viable way of making America energy independent.

I've yet to find a reasonable argument against fracking. So, I can't wait to see the Con.

I agree so I can't debate unless I dive deep into devil's advocacy, which I don't really have the motivation to do right now. Hopefully a clueless person will challenge you so I can have some entertainment today.

Reasons for voting decision: S/G for con as Pro had spelling error in even the one line that he wrote. Con's opening statement goes unopposed...Pro ff...conduct.
