Okay thks for the information. Lets dive right in then.
Warning: I am Singaporean so I will use lee kuan yew"s quotes.
1.Background Information
a)What is same-sex marriage?
Same-sex marriage (also known as gay marriage) is marriage between two people of the same sex. Legal recognition of same-sex marriage or the possibility to perform a same-sex marriage is sometimes referred to as marriage equality or equal marriage, particularly by supporters and some opponents. The legalization of same-sex marriage is characterized as "redefining marriage" by many opponents to gays.
b)Why do most countries not allow same-sex marriage?
Most countries, namely Middle-Eastern countries, classify same-sex marriage as not allowed for religious purposes. In countries such as Egypt and Saudi Arabia, the death penalty is the punishment for same-sex marriages. The countries think that gays and lesbians are possessed by the devils and therefore the gays and lesbians must be killed.
c)Does the international community accept same-sex marriage?
In a recent survey done by the BBC, 21% of people in the world know (know as in colleague, friend etc) with a gay person and a further 15% have at least one relative that is gay. This proves sufficient evidence that most of the international community are in acceptance of gay people, although they are living in countries, like Sudan and Nigeria, where being gay is punishable by the death penalty.

You picked the most loaded and easy to argue topics, but accuse the other side of cowardice?
