Going to high school should be a privilege not a right!

School is a privilege. Why do you think kids drop out? 40% of Americans have lower education. This is because they can choose to go.

The problem with Students having a right to go to high school is that most students don't care if they graduate. Tax payers money is going to waste. In my high school 50% of seniors son't know how to read, write in cursive, or do math. Going to school should be a privilege, if students want to do something with their life they are the ones who should go to high school. By the way you are the one that should be arguing for students to have the right to high school.

A privilege is something that is earned. A right is something you're just born with. How will people earn an education?

well, kids should be able to pay for their education. If they pay for their education they will not drop out, because they know that they would have wasted their money. Also for those who can't afford school they can enroll in homeschooling and prove themselves there that they do want an education, or they can do their schooling online. School should be a privilege, America would be smarter if they had students that were smart and wanted to learn. What are schools for? They are for learning and for students to have a good life after graduation.

Reasons for voting decision: ff for conduct. rolling over and taking it for argument (pro actually made a couple decent points, but did not properly phrase them into an argument). The resolution was a bit unclear, a better one might have been 'Going to high school should be a right not a privilege.'

Reasons for voting decision: Pro really didn't do much of anything. In the first round, he conceded. He gets spelling and grammar points, but that is not hard to do when you only have 7 sentences.
