Guns shouldn't be allowed. Guns are too dangerous. Because one gun can kill thousands of people. Think of all the murders that will happen if guns were allowed everywhere. Especially people out of control. They would kill others but not notice it. Also, people without money can kill others for money. If guns were allowed, there would be much less people on earth.

Could you please specify which other countries we’re discussing? All of them, or just certain ones? I don’t think it will make a huge difference in the debate, but it might.

Everyone should have the right to own a gun if they want one. Prohibiting someone from having a gun is keeping them from a form of self defense that could potentially save their life. It also places them at the mercy of whoever does have guns, namely the government and the criminals. Governments have a long history of becoming corrupt, and criminals never have the victims’ best interests in mind.

‘Guns are too dangerous.’ Do you know what else is dangerous? Knives, cars, plastic bags, ropes, alcohol, food, water and animals, among other things. Of course I’d be remiss not to mention the most dangerous of all: human beings. Should we ban all of those things as well?

‘…one gun can kill thousands of people.’ Interestingly enough, I’ve never seen a gun do anything of its own accord. People with guns can kill people. Guns cannot kill anyone, because they are inanimate objects.

‘Think of all the murders that will happen if guns were allowed everywhere. Especially people out of control.’ Banning guns wouldn't stop murders. If someone wants to murder people they’re not going to have a problem with breaking the law that says they can’t have a gun. If they are, as you say, out of control, then they won’t be controlled by a law that bans guns. The law-abiding citizens, however, would then be unarmed and unable to defend themselves from the people who want to murder them.

‘They would kill others but not notice it.’ How could someone kill a person and not notice it?

‘Also, people without money can kill others for money.’ They can do that with or without a gun, and once again, people who would do that wouldn’t think twice about owning a gun despite a ban.

‘If guns were allowed, there would be much less people on earth.’ If guns were allowed there would be far less criminals on earth, because those who wish to commit crimes would be faced with the fact that their intended victim might be armed. If guns were banned criminals would know that there is only a very small chance that their intended victim might be armed.
