Should guns laws be implemented and the second amendment abolished to prevent mass shootings. I personally feel as if we are safer with the right to bear arms. It is fairly rare for mass shootings to be committed by legally obtained weapons.

So you're saying half of American is stupid? The amendment holds true today like I've mentioned numerous times. Back then, it was a precautions to a tyrannical government, and even today it's a precaution to a tyrannical government. How do you know the government isn't going to do that? Do you know the future? It's simply a precaution. How do we fight back against the police who have semi automatic weapons then? It's not the government's fault that a person is a lunatic. Like I've mentioned earlier, guns don't kill people. People kill people. You're comparing the people of other countries and their behaviors to the behaviors of Americans. That's like saying if I get a drug to cure a disease and it works on me, and my friend who has the same disease, and the drug won't work on him. Simple analogy. People and their behaviors are different just like you and your friends' behaviors are different. You're right Chicago doesn't work. And do you know what happens if we ban guns throughout the U.S.? Guns will come in from Mexico. Back where we started huh? My logic is simple. You can prevent a lunatic from committing mass murder. If he uses a gun, maybe someone has a gun to try and stop the individual. Criminals are going to get their guns no matter what and who does that impact? Law abiding citizens. Like you mentioned handguns most likely aren't going to be useful against a criminal who has a semi automatic weapon. All I'm saying is that the 2nd Amendment is a precaution, in case the government decides to do something stupid. Think of it this way. You have a bacterial infection and your doctor gives you antibiotics as a precaution. Your normal immune system would suppress the infection, but what if it didn't? See what I mean? How do you expect us to fight without guns? And remember your plan has ZERO solvency and even if it does, it's Civil War.....
Less guns=Less rights=Less freedom
Oh ya, remember how Prohibition turned out? That's was to save lives.....

If another civil war happen, it will be because of stupid people don't know how to live on with out weapons.
Anyway you talking about something that will never happen with the US government. You think alien from a other world would come too? The amendment needed to be rewriter, it does not hold true in today realty. Why because the government not going take over like you want to imagine. It doesn't hold water.
My biggest argument i been saying is semi-automatic weapon don't belongs in regular citizens hands. Im saying just take those semi-automatic out of people hands. Not handguns. You just want keep saying all guns so you can have an argument. But i keep on saying not all guns, i bring up the statics on guns because thats a whole thing.
Oh yea, guess what we are already killing our selfs because of guns, the government just letting it happen because people are too stupid to think about what a gun can do they just start shooting. Comparing other countries has meaning. And you know what that mean is? It means they are smarter because they have tougher laws against guns and we don't. That's why they people not getting killed as much. And here in the US almost 30 die a day because of guns. Chicago hasnt work, because the country haven't put in place tougher guns laws, so people bring in guns from other states.. So in your logic let the mass shooting happens, and let every one have guns to fire at each other. Thats what happening. Lets keep our guns because you worry about the government taking your rights away. You not thinking in today realty. The government thinking about policing the world. Not taking our freedom away, because they know America would fight for our freedom
And if he can hear me im say take semi-automatic away, for the last time not every single handgun or shooting rifle.
No guns laws more mass shooting and more people die, period. More guns laws like UK, Canada, Australia, means less people dead. But people like you and others dont understa

13,000 just with semi automatic weapons? Using this number shows that you are advocating for a ban on all firearms. The Second Amendment isn't out of date. The purpose still holds true today. Preventing a tyrannical government and allowing the people to fight back if it does happen. You comparing America to other countries is like comparing apples to oranges. Show that gun control works in the U.S. I can prove that it doesn't with Chicago. I will say this once again. Muskets were the semi automatic weapons back then. There's a reason why the Bill of Rights was created. To ensure the protection of the liberty of Americans. And remember, guns don't kill people, people kill people. Your plan has zero solvency. It will never get done and if it does, Civil War WILL erupt and the blood will be on the hands of people like you. Countless others like me will never give their weapons willingly.

Some 13,286 people were killed in the US by firearms in 2015, according to the Gun Violence Archive, those (figures exclude suicide). Now that's A fact.
Yea i know quoting bill maher wasn't really a reliable source, that was just for fun. But still the facts is the second amendment is out of date. You thinking the government going to just take over and take our freed away, is crazy. Like i said they are more worry about other countries, policing the world, taking care of free trade, and so much more. Talking away our guns would help society, look at other countries Canada, Australia, UK, all have tough gun laws and there people are not getting killed like Americans life's.

Another thing i say ban all military weapons, not all guns. Get that straight. Either though im against guns i know thats not realistic. But banning semi-automatic weapons should be, like i said if the founders father knew about these guns they would make the rules of owning these weapons so much harder. You thinking of the government taking over like You said is not reality. It not 1791. Laws like the second amendment shouldn't be meant to last forever. Laws need to be revisited in times. If it wasn't for the NRA, and people like gun owners this law would be easier to change.
Anyway as long as the laws remain the same then mass shooting will continue to happen more and more not less. So with your logic you. Don't care about other people lives. We should look at other country, why because they have better laws for guns, we in America will keep on getting killed, and it not by our own government it because people cant handle semi-automatic weapons.

I suggest you read your articles thoroughly before you post them. The 13,000 number includes suicides. Even if you ban guns people will still commit suicide. And at this point you are advocating for a ban of ALL firearms. You're quoting Bill Maher? A liberal? Very reliable indeed. What is Steve's comments have anything to do with this? In fact it's easier to to buy cough medicine than a gun. Over the counter medicine. Again, by your logic, every amendment is outdated. Heck, the entire Constitution is outdated by your logic. Like I mentioned many times earlier, back then muskets were against swords. They were the AR-15s.

As I mentioned earlier, it's to prevent a tyrannical government. If you take our semis and the cops still have them, what stops the government from bossing us around and taking away the rest of our rights?

If you look back I mentioned more than one method. You mistaken a tyrannical government and its action for mass genocide. Do you think using missiles in us will leave you any people to be in charge of?

Had more to say but it only let have 2000 characters. Anyways i was saying the government don't care about our guns because they have missiles and nukes. The government not think like they were during the time of them making the second amendment. Anyways i think he are having a way better debate in the comments section than the other two not saying anything.

Okay you want some real sources, okay i got some.
"All shootings: Some 13,286 people were killed in the US by firearms in 2015, according to the Gun Violence Archive, and 26,819 people were injured" and these numbers are only raises year in and year out.
"Of all the murders in the US in 2012, 60% were by firearm compared with 31% in Canada, 18.2% in Australia, and just 10% in the UK." https://www.google.com...
"Second Amendment was to help keep the slave population under control, rather than to give the population a right to self-defense." according to Bill Maher. MSNBC Republican Steve Schmidt ridiculously claimed that "It is harder to buy cough medicine than it is to buy an AK-47 or 50 of them." https://www.newsbusters.org...

"The Second Amendment needs to be repealed because it is outdated, a threat to liberty and a suicide pact. When the Second Amendment was adopted in 1791, there were no weapons remotely like the AR-15 assault rifle and many of the advances of modern weaponry were long from being invented or popularized." http://www.rollingstone.com...
So you see it not just me, thats think the second amendment need to be revisited, its lot if other people. Semi-automatic weapons have no business in regular citizens hands.

Oh as for the 9/11, yes over 3,000 people die, and it wasn't from guns, nor was they a bomb like want to claim, it was planes that hit the twins towers, and The Pentagon. Guns kill a lot than bombs do. You haven't provided any proof on what the government is thinking as well. The government have more important things to worry about than trying to be a tyrannical government, such as other countries like Russia, China, North Korea. The government don't care about us having guns. Why? Because they have missiles, and n

Funny that you think I'm crazy. Read your own source. It compares one bombing to 4 shootings. And please show me a source that says guns have killed more than 3,000 people. That number is from 9/11 alone. Oh and btw make sure they're all semiautomatics as well. I'm saying the Founding Fathers' vision last forever. Food and supplies mean nothing if you can't protect yourself. You don't know what the government is thinking. The second amendment was created as a precaution if the government ever decides to be tyrannical. 9/11 rules were not a part of the Constitution, nor was it a part of of the Bill of Rights. But guns were and there's a reason for that. There is no solution to prevent lunatics or criminals from killing people with guns, but there is a chance that a law abiding gun owner can use their firearm to prevent a tragedy. And how different are we from a police state if you take our guns. The government has guns and you don't. Welcome to the Soviet Union, Germany, and Maoist China.

"bombings and other methods have killed more Americans than guns" Wow i want to know where you dig up that crap? Guns kill more than bombs. "Even though guns kill ten times more people every single day."https://www.politusic.com...
Another thing you keep saying "second amendment is to prevent a tyrannical government" again this flaw because we not living under the same times as of over 200 years ago. Medical, technology, people, food, ect. Have all change for the better. You under the impression that our government still think way of 1791. And we need to protect our self form the government, umm news flash it 2017 the US government not thinking of the old ways, the US government will never going to do what you think they would do. This is a such an BS excuse to keep your guns. Why you think the government made changes so fast in the airline after 9/11? They could and should make changes to the second amendment, for the better our society. Right now it weak because they are way to many semi-automatic weapons available. You still haven't answer my question, how do you stop those mass shooting? What is your solution to mass shooting? Lets keep killing innocents people...
