Con

No, government shouldn't ban hijab because it's people's choice and right.
jh1234l

Pro

"No, government shouldn't ban hijab because it's people's choice and right."

Con's first point: if someone robs someone else that is also their choice. Just because it is their choice does not mean that it should not be banned.

Plus, hijabs can make it difficult for law enforcement to identify people, allowing criminals to escape the police.

Con's second point:

Con claims that hidjab is right. Three problems with this:

1. Correctness is an opinion. What one views as right can be viewed by another as wrong.

2. If you use holy books like the Qu'ran to prove your point, it is still not "right". The Quran does not specifically require women to keep their heads or faces covered.

3. If you also consider the law enforcement point I stated earlier, plus the fact that correctness is an opinion, hijab is not necessarily correct.

Reasons for voting decision: Pro provided a more substantial case on why hijabs should be banned. Con's case was not very detailed which also allowed Pro to edge out. With the forfeits, Pro's arguments was left unanswered.
