Con

I believe that students should NOT have to say the Pledge Of Allegiance in the morning during school.
1.) In this country we have freedom of religion, "...One Nation, UNDER GOD, Indivisible, With liberty and justice for all." Some people that have came here from different country's probably brought there own religion with them.
I do believe that students should stand for respect to flag and do not have to say the Pledge Of Allegiance
Thank you.
Good luck

Pro

I know, I know, I'm a noob sniper. But this is just too funny to pass up. (I apologize if this loses conduct).

Let's begin (It's a 10 minute round...)

RESOLUTIONAL ANALYSIS:

The Resolution clearly specifies "Standing" as opposed to "Reciting" the pledge of allegiance. Don't let con say otherwise.

The BOP was never specified, but I as pro will accept it.

Con will have the burden of CLASH.

Concessions by CON:

Quote: "I do believe that students should stand for respect to flag and do not have to say the Pledge Of Allegiance"

Essentially con does agree with the resolution, and has failed to disprove/ give an adequate reason to negate. As stated in the resolutional analysis, through pure analytics with no need for sources, standing and reciting are TWO DIFFERENT THINGS.

Pros Case (in a 1 round debate)

Contention 1- I affirm, and therefore agree.

Contention 2- I've won, Con can't clash, doesn't meet his burden, I've met mine.

Voters:

Vote on the Concession, TURN it onto the Pro side, and allow me to use it as offense.

Vote on Burdens. Con Automatically fails to make direct clash by creating a 1 round debate.

Please affirm.

Reasons for voting decision: So, in round #1, CON says students should not stand up during the pledge, then says students should stand up for the pledge. Did not read CON's argument.

Reasons for voting decision: Con conceded to one of his two resolutions, and a one-round debate gave him no opportunity to rebut Pro's points. Yup, you're a noob-sniper, but you sniped it well!

Reasons for voting decision: Noob snipe. Advice to con, you should make at the very least 2 rounds.

Reasons for voting decision: This was a pretty good debate but I say Chicken won for the following reasons; good concession, and one round is way to short.

Reasons for voting decision: Petty, but true. Con should have payed more attention to what it was he wrote in both the Resolution, and his R1 argument. Unfortunately, Pro wins by concession.

Reasons for voting decision: I agree with Con's intent for this debate. And I'm no fan of beer. But Con didn't say what he meant; so vote goes to Pro.
