Schools should not ban junk food because:
if a child doesn't carry a lunch bag, they can have a snack so that they will not remain hungry
junk food is more affordable
it gives variety to meals

Schools should ban junk food because it is the school's job to provide a healthy learning environment. Children and teens that are hopped up on sugar (from soda, candy, etc.) are going to be fidgety and less likely to focus on their assignments. As children are growing their bodies need real nutrition.

If a child doesn't carry a lunch bag, a bag of doritos is not going to fill them up, they'll probably still be hungry.
Junk food is affordable because it is low in nutrition and is of poor quality.
You can add variety to meals without junk food
