I think that kids should be allowed to have as much computer time as they want as long as they spend at least two to three hours with there family. They should also not b allowed to get on before nine o'clock. The latest they should be on is seven p.m. They should also not be allowed to look at porn and other bad things.

Thank you to my opponent for instigating this debate. Due to the 15 minute time limit, I'll cut the salutations and introduction.

I define "kids" as teenagers.

Rebuttal:

My opponent claims that children should not be able to look at porn or other bad things (clarifications?) However, we must all accede the fact that teenagers are going through the turbulent process of puberty, where they become reckless, headstrong, and hormonally-active. It is, in reality, unhealthy to completely block the progression of a teen's sexual development, where he/she will become more interested in this area.
As well, she claims that it is okay to use the computer as long as they have spent some time with the family. However, we must realize that teenagers often value friendships over their family. They become resistant to the family structure, and would rather hang out with their peers. It is again an intrusion on their privacy and liberty to "force" the children to be with their families.

Arguments:
1. It is an intrusion upon the teen's liberty.
2. It is against the liberty of the teens to force them to be with the family.
3. Since the Internet has become such a large part of our race, it is inevitable that children will be intrigued by it and spend time on it.

Thank you, Pro, and I wish both of us luck for the upcoming rounds.

So, what you are actually saying is that they should not be able to be on the computer whenever they want(not before 9, not after 7).
