Should kids bring phones? I think they should. It would be helpful for emergencys. They could keep it in there lockers so they wouldn't be distracted. They can bring it on bus and talk with friends who are on a bus. It will help for socialization as long as they don't text they could just talk and enjoy them selfs. It could be very benefitical if they use it at the proper time in the proper place.

Con

To start off my argument, I'm going to define the word "kids" as people who are younger than 16 years old.
Kids do not have any real emergency to that of an adult and education doesn't require mobile phones. Parents can easily call the school's phone instead of a mobile one and inform the kids whatever they need to know. In addition to that, kids need interaction with their friends. Phone decreases the social interaction between people.
Kids before the 90s didn't need phones to survive.

Still even if they ar young they still have buses that are still dangerous. If the driver dies and they have a lock on there phone and the bus radio stopped working the kids should be able to call 911. They don't have to have them in the school as a distraction.
This is the end of my debate good luck.

I extend my arguments since there is no refutation.
Your case of a bus crashed, the death of the driver, and a broken bus radio seem very unlikely to occur. Moreover, nowadays, buses are equipped with GPS and emergency radar so the authorities would be notified if anything were to occurred. Therefore, phone is still unnecessary.
I thanks my opponent for the debate and good luck.

Reasons for voting decision: Spelling to Con. Arguments because Pro failed to show that it is necessary or that they should. Con refuted his example about a bus crash.
