Giving my adversary a chance to respond. Obviously he, in affirming the resolution, has the burden of proof.

Con

I am once again going to give my opponent a chance to respond. Obviously he has the BOP. I will, if he doesn't respond soon, be in a place where I need to offer my own arguments negating this resolution.

Con

I'm going to once again wait for my opponent to post his argument. Because he has the BOP, I could simply win this debate because he has forfeited every round. However, if he once again chooses not to respond, I will offer my own contentions negating the resolution in the next round.
Debate Round No. 4

Pro

legionarydude forfeited this round.

Con

My adversary has forfeited every round, so he has failed to uphold his BOP. Because of that, the debate is already over. But I'm going to negate the resolution anyway with an argument that will go unrefuted.

The resolution regards the resolution of median coverage. However, the First Amendment requires the freedom of the press. If the government began to regulate media coverage and control what content people ought to see, it would destroy journalism in this country. Of course, politicians would be paid off by some industries to regulate in their favors. At the same time, they would want to censor coverage that isn't favorable for them.

For this reason, media coverage should not be regulated. The resolution is negated.

Vote CON.

Reasons for voting decision: While I dislike this kind of sniping, forfeiting like that is a far worse offense... As for arguments, none were made.
