I think that violent movies should NOT be banned, because first, movies with fighting, arguing and other types of violence are the movies that most people like. I've never heard of many people liking a romance movie or a comedy. Also, it is the violent movies which most cinemas show, so if violent movies are banned, many cinemas will go bankrupt. So, that's why violent movies should be banned.

You say that you've never heard of many people liking romance or comedy when this Is very unrealistic as a lot of people like these movies and your being very close minded. Violent movies should be banned as it gives people drastic ideas and those with violent natures get a kick out of them, while lowering peoples tolerance to violence and suffering as if you see enough of it it ceases to shock people and so the movie makers make it more violent.

Well, actually, only a few people out of all that people who watch violent movies actually do the same things in the movie, so we can't say that your opinion is mostly correct, and also, even though some people like romance of comedy movies, people like violent movies a LOT more. Maybe when we say violent movies, it makes you think of movies with brutal fighting, torturing, killing, etc. But also, well-known movies like Spiderman, Star Trek, and Superman count as violent movies. But then, billions of people have seen that kind of movies, while less than half of that liked romantic movies/comedies. So, if we ban violent movies, it will affect and influence a whole lot of people around the world, and maybe who knows? There could be bigger problems, like teenagers rioting to bring violent movies back, that kind of thing. So what do you think?

You cant say that people like violent movies a LOT more as your being objective and trying to class everyone in one stereotype, there are lots of genres of movies that are popular not all people like violent films.
We are supposed to be a civilized society, how can we even have the nerve to suggest we are civilized with disgusting movies and games are available for purchase to vulnerable teens.violence movies and shows should, of course, be banned, because when a young child stumbles upon it, watches it, and gets VERY interested in it, the child does not understand it is bad, and well, try's to be like those violent characters. And if those violent characters, for example, kicked someone in the stomach and run away, chances are, they are going to kick someone in the stomach, thinking that what they are doing is okay, because the character did not get into trouble.

Actually, I don't think it is stereotype. True, other genre movies ARE popular. But still, the number of people who watch violent movies outnumber by far other genre movies. Also, even if we do live in a civilized society, I say that we still need some fun in our lives. Would YOU like to spend most of your time in front of a desk or reading books? No, I don't think so. You might say that there are other ways to get some fun, like sports of playing LEGO, but the thing that gives teens the most pleasure are video games. Also, you said that if a young child happens to encounter violent stuff, he might get addicted to it, and try to be like those characters in the violent movie/game. Well, there's something called PARENTS, and they'll probably have the most control over the child's life, and most certainly, ban the child from watching/playing inappropriate things. So, your arguments are wrong.

I think what EmmaWeston said it's totally true. Violence movies can be sometimes too hard to watch for a id, in fact in every movie there are 3 different dots, a green one, a yellow one and a red one.
The green one means that kids can totally watch that movie.
The yellow one means that kids can watch that movie IF they have an adult near them.
The red one means that kids CANNOT watch that type of movie.
This means that the society have already thought about this and that they already solved the problems.

Just because a movie has violence doesn't mean it has to be banned... Like Batman/Spiderman movies. They have violence.
