I think most forms of music such as Rap and Pop should be banned from the U.S. . However, this does not go for all forms of music. Classical and Country music are perfectly acceptable. Pop and Rap are also acceptable as long as they do not contain a huge number of swearing words or words that portray or encourage violent nature. The thing I hate most about pop nowadays are songs like "Anaconda" which can portray women as merely sexual objects. This is wrong. This crap is influencing our children in a very bad way and I think music of this form should be banned as they can affect the future of our children negatively and can have as much bad effect as violent video games which led to the mass murder of innocents many times in America.

Ok so here's the thing. Music is an art form, which means that it's a medium through which people are free to express their views and emotions. It would be highly controversial to ban an art form in a country; it would go against our central ideals. And while I agree with you completely that "Anaconda" and songs like it have no place on a pop radio station, Niki Minaj should be free to do what she wishes with music. The unfortunate thing is that people like these songs so much that they are placed in the "pop" genre. It's not a problem with music in and of itself, it's with people's tastes. That isn't to say I don't respect other music tastes though!

If you don't like a certain type of music, don't listen to it

What on earth? Can you honestly think of anyone who wants to do this?
