Nerf guns have injured many everywhere. It has only gotten worse with the Modders out there turning them into killing machines. This is why I think that ALL Nerf guns should be banned, or at least require a background check. Go ahead and argue so I can stomp you.

I accept your challenge. Please provide a few citations for your claims.

Oh, where to begin. The invention of the Stefan was a big part in the recent injuries. Have you seen how large the Stefan is? Another good point is how some people will put "Better Springs" in their nerd guns to make them even more lethal. So my first suggestion would be to outlaw modding them. At that point we should put a small device that delivers an electric shock that will make the moddie stop their experiments. We also need to jail anyone caught modding. Background checks would also be wonderful. You can't just have any sheared sheep running around with a nerd gun. Who knows what he or she would be capable of. My points are not bias since I took a stefan to the knee, and can no longer be an adventurer like you. Nerf guns have ruined my life forever.

Actually, Stefans can inflict less pain, depending on how they are made. Every person has a choice when creating their own darts. They could simply put a weight on the tip and be done with it, or they could add an extra step and glue padding over the weight so that it causes virtually no harm. Essentially, this comes down to the 'people hurt people, not guns' debate. Also, stefans are almost always smaller than the average micro (standard) dart to improve accuracy.

Even after a spring swap, most nerf blasters will still have underwhelming range. To gain truly phenomenal performance, one has to preform many more complicated modifications. Most of these can potentially render the blaster useless without impeccable technique. This alone weeds out most of the people who cannot handle the responsibility of modified blasters.

Lastly, what makes you think that nerf blasters are even remotely dangerous? They launch foam cylinders using compressed air. Even with extensive modifications and stefans, they're still essentially bits of foam.

Please list some sources for your claims, Walruses101. Not all of your facts are correct, and I would like to see where you are getting them.

Let me quote something from the once great Jacob Cook.

"Nerf Guns Are Terrible For The Environment"

I agree with this completely. Think of all the plastic. How about we make a compromise? Stefans are banned from here onward! Long live the Tack Dart!

Firstly, this was a debate about gun laws. Not the environment. Also, what isn't harmful to the environment? Why don't we ban all of that, too?

Seeing how you failed to source any of your arguments, I think it is fairly safe to say that your claims are biased and inaccurate. You also neglected to respond to any of my points, which leads me to believe that your knowledge of the topic is sub-par.

I thoroughly enjoyed this debate. Best of luck in the voting.

I would greatly appreciated it if someone voted, because if this was to tie, Walrus101 would never let it go.

Reasons for voting decision: You can have your points Anon, but I really didn't feel like you were in the spirit of the debate. Sometimes you have to stoop to your opponent's level and have some fun.
