Should Nerf blasters be modified? My opinion is yes because it gives the player an edge in performance during competitive play if rules allow, but the increased velocity even to the limit will not make a serious bruise because of the safety features built into Nerf darts that limit the damage they deal (compressible tip), also the darts are very lightweight, so they will not knock over anything despite traveling at a high velocity. Unless the dart is modified to deal extra damage (which is illegal to a certain extent), it will not make a huge effect on the damage dealt when compared to stock blasters.

If Nerf guns are modified, as in upgraded, they'd be closer to real guns. While it won't be as deadly as a real handgun, it would hurt a lot. Have you ever been hurt by a nerf bullet? Some Nerf guns shoot bullets at a faster speed compared to others. I don't want to be assaulted with a Nerf gun. If anything... nerf the Nerf!

I have never seen any injuries in Superstock nerf wars before because the players wear safety goggles, just like airsoft to minimize injuries, and why do people play airsoft when the weapons are more powerful than modified nerf guns? In conclusion, Modified Nerf blasters deal less damage than airsoft guns (not including Stefan shooters).

If you have to wear safety gear, then Nerf guns are dangerous. The only way a Nerf gun would be "modified" is some form of battle upgrade, the first that comes to mind is damage per bullet. There's also fire rate, and both of those would make Nerf guns a legal way to mug someone. You'd expect everyone to wear safety goggles everywhere, just in case a gang comes up with Nerf guns which would assault you? Just one bullet might be tolerable, but lots of Nerf guns have more than just 3 bullets per round. Don't make the guns more powerful if they could become a weapon (like it's not already a weapon)!

Then say that IN ROUND 3! It's your turn to post an argument. I'll happily refute your arguments within the debate itself. (I don't like debates within comments, since I feel it's unnecessary.)

there are no nerf gangs to date because they are not lethal enough to do anything horrible. this debate is also SAMBO based.

ps: sambo= stock ammo modified blasters only

Ooh, maybe Nerf guns should have Bluetooth and headphones, so that you can listen to your jams while kicking everybody's butts!

I think Nerf guns should be modified to fire ball bearings
