I say no, for two major reasons:

1. Comedy as an art form
No art should be censored. However offensive or rude it may be, comedy is a form of expression and the creator is within their rights as long as they do not inhibit the person or take away their human rights.

2. Taking offense is subjective and dangerous
Some people are offended by things while other people may find it hilarious. Just because a group of people disagree doesn't mean that that group can take away the rights of the creator. As long as there is the option to walk away or avoid the situation, then the creator is not abusing their rights. A possible analogy to make is like walking up to somebody's house, entering, finding an image and saying it is offensive and should be removed, like opening a YouTube video, watching an offensive comedian, then accusing the content of offending you.

Additionally, when people are granted the right to censor content based on their own opinion and perspective, it is incredibly easy to abuse that power and ban art which for example criticizes governments or large oppressive organizations.

In conclusion, people should never have the right to ban art, unless their human rights are taken away by the piece. (physical attack, etc.)

I say yes to some extent.

Comedy is an art form indeed but recently comedy has been used for harassing other people for their gender, race, look, etc. A lot of people use comedy as an escape route so they can insult other nationalities without being reprimanded. Anti-bullying is a policy in most school districts and people ban against racism and racists. If I throw my hands up in the air and claim my racial slur or insult is a joke do you just expect everyone to accept that? Some people cannot tolerate insults even if they're claimed to be just for fun. What if a comedian pointed to someone in the audience and made fun of their dead ancestor? Do you expect that person not to take that to offense? Comedians are not dominant to an audience's emotions and should watch what they say to different kinds of people. You're practically saying a man cannot take another mans rights away simply because he has an opinion even when the comedian himself is making opinionated slurs and insults and are taking away peoples rights to defend themselves.

So kyle, you are for free speech unless it offends some one? Then you censor them is some one doesn't like it?

Your values are truly tested when you have to apply then where you don't necessarily want to. This is a guarantee win for con, just based on the position. Unless he forfeits.
