Parents should not be able to Choose their Child mate because it leads to Stress, Unhappiness, Divorce , and a lot of pressure. divorce is a legal dissolution of a marriage by a court or other competent body.75% of people who parents chooses their mate has most likely to get a divorce very quickly than a average person who chooses their own mate

according to me parents should be allowed to meddle in the matters of marriage....they are the grown ups and have probably tasted every part of life..they are more intelligent than us in the matters of relationships...we usually share our problems with the people of our age who have more or less same ideas and thinking...but parents are different....a person can open up their parents about their mate and have a talk with them...its not necessary that they will reject your choice but they might find that person inappropriate for you to get marry....after all its a matter of life time...no parent would want that their child suffers after marriage....it even could be a love cum arranged marriage....

You may want to restart this debate as you are the Pro (for) parents choosing the spouse of their child, yet your argument is against such actions. I also suggest that you site sources when using statistics, as they make arguments more viable.
