It should be illegalized because these part time jobs divert the student's focus away from their schoolwork, which not only lowers their grades by a considerable amount, but it also increases the dropout rate which is directly proportional to the unemployment rate in a nation. Furthermore, having part time jobs for such young students may often result in exploitation of the worker by the employer because younger and less experienced people do not understand the mechanics of life.

Part time jobs should be legal for high schoolersbecause it is necessary for them. Many high schoolers are getting ready to go to college. They need the money. Are you discouraging going to college? Illegalizing the part-time jobs will make it close to impossible for them to go to college. Most parents can't pay the fees for their children to go to college at the way the cost is rising. Would you want to pay your children's fee to college?

Part time jobs also teach high schoolers what the real world will be like. They will be able to learn lessons such as how to spend their money wisely and how to work to get money.
