One reason why people shouldn"t be able to keep exotic animals is because they are very hard to take care of. Exotic animals aren"t very good companions. They need lots of attention, space, and when they grow up, lots and lots of food. If the animals needs aren"t met, they could suffer.

People should be able to keep exotic animals. All animals started wild/exotic. So are dogs not allowed now to? Exactly. Are zoos, not allowed because they have exotic animals? BOOM!

Another reason why exotic animals shouldn’t be pets is because they can be a danger to the people in the same household. The exotic animal could hurt or possibly kill someone. It could make someone sick by giving them monkey pox, a disease commonly found by people who own monkeys. It could also give someone a wound that if not treated in time, could result in an infected wound. Children and adults have been mauled by tigers, bitten by monkeys, and asphyxiated by snakes. (Look the words up if you don't know them)

Exotic animals can be trained. It can be trained by you or by specialists. If they are trained well they will not be dangerous. They might act out sometimes but all animals do that. Even dogs. Also animals can be brought to vets to test for diseases and can be cured. So really there is no problem or concern with that.

If exotic animals are released into the wild, there are many harmful effects. The reason why some exotic animals are released in the wild is because owners don’t want the animal anymore or they can’t take care of it anymore and they give it to a zoo or shelter. But, when an exotic animal is released into the wild, it could endanger other populations that live in that area. If it was raised by a human from birth and then it is released into the wild, the animal might not know how to take care of itself and it could get extremely hurt or even killed. All of the zoos and accredited institutions could not possibly accommodate the number of unwanted exotic animals. The majority of these animals are euthanized, abandoned, or doomed to live in deplorable conditions.

Nobody said anything about releasing them. I don't think they should be released but if you weren't allowed to wear a skirt and you wanted to would you be mad? what if you wanted an animal that you loved but you couldn't have it. Also to exotic countries our animals are exotic. No horses as pets for them? NOT FAIR!

so it woul take thousands of years for wild animals to be demesticated? Then 1. why do peaple live with exotic domesticated animals and 2. Zoos have domesticated animals. No?

Ok, so about the fact that you think that exotic animals can be domesticated, I really disagree with that. It took thousands and thousands of years to domesticate dogs and cats. Why do you think that WILD ANIMALS could be domesticated? That would take a few thousand years more, don't you think? Plus, these animals that we are talking about are wilder and much, much stronger and fiercer than dogs and cats used to be.
