Should phones be turned off or on during school hours?
Ainia

Con

I accept your challenge.
First off, because I live in a society of primates, what exactly is a "phone"?
Is a phone a phone a phone a phone a phone?

Using a rarely used primial formula, I will deduce what a "phone" is.

"Phone"-P="Hone"
So you want students to "hone" their skills?
Not likely. School is a awful, terrible place of tortures where you are forced to stick pens up your nose.
Therefore, we must kill "Hones".

Your turn!

I guess I don't really understand your point of view.
Like my school, there was torturing going on at our school.
We had to go through the death of Kenneth James Weishuhn.
Not alls chool are like that though.
We are a better school now.
We've got cameras located everywhere.
So in this case, bullying isn't the situation.
I mean, are phonesw really needed or aren't they?
Yesterday, girls were being mean to me.
I texted my parents to come pick me up.
They did.
Phones can be helpful to many students.
OR are they a distraction to many other students?

Assuming you mean that "Phones"="Hone", I have absolutely no idea what you just said. Meanwhile, how did the topic of bullying come up? Sticking pens up your nose is a school subject. Duh!

I texted (WHAT IS A TEXTED?) my parents to come pick me up.

Now, after reading this, I noticed that the word "hone" is very close to Home. So maybe you misunderstood me. Maybe not.

According to the MYBRAIN dictonary, texting involves passing gases. You farted your parents to pick you up? Yah Right. I don't believe this crap.
This is what our Stone Age town would call a "roadkill moment"
Yes, Hones and Texting (or farting) is very distracting and calls for the use of the death penalty.

Vote for con! :)

I guess I don't know what your'e problem is. I think your'e doing this on purpose. You ned to stop. This is a serious matter. Your'e either an immature second grader, or a 100 year old woman.

So I will take the liberty of summing up the debate!

Amelia did not respond to the defintion of "phone"
Amelia never did address the point
Amelia insulted me and elderly people
I award myself the grammar, spelling, and conduct points.

Thank you!

This person wa just trying to be funny. Not funny at all though. Cell phones are huge distractions especially with all of the apps available. As long as they are not used in the classroom then they should be allowed which they are in my school. But only during passing times and lunch, or maybe o the teacher allows it.

This would have been a great debate if Con had a better argument. There's arguments for and against this, but none of them were really utilized on both sides, due in part to the fact that Con wouldn't quit being immature and amateur. I didn't see this debate sooner, or I would've voted for Pro, and gave her all the points, even if I don't completely agree with the allowance of cell phone usage in school, because her arguments are a lot better than Con's. Bottom line, congratulations, Pro, you won! :)
