Pro

Leave your opinion on what time school should start and why.
Kozu

Con

School should start at, or before 8:30.

-Teaches Responsibility-

This is most common time of day that people begin work."An average person starts checking work email at 7:42 a.m. but gets to the office at 8:18 a.m." [1]
Teaching children to get up early and prepare to leave for school in the morning not only prepares them for real work life standards which starts around 8:00 am, it also teaches them responsibility at an early age which further ingrains the idea of a responsible work ethic.

-This is the ideal time-

This is the beginning of the day. This provides people with the most time possible to utilize not only the sun light, but the people who are also only available during the day. To start at a later point in the day would result in less opportunity. Teachers and students alike cannot function optimally late in the day, so any kind of scheduling that dips into "night time" may result in sub-par teaching and learning results. People often have responsibilities that exist outside of school hours, if we were to start any later, these responsibilities may overlap and cause problems.

-Implantation-

For reasons listed above, to actually standardize and accomplish having all school start after some point past 8:30 would be near impossible. Perhaps certain school can be capable of this, but not all. Those that cannot, should not.
