I believe that transgender children should be able to use the bathroom of their gender identification. It allows kids to feel comfortable in school and makes an already difficult time for gender dysphoric kids just that much easier. They need to feel supported in their gender identity at a young age, to instill the self confidence and assurance of a support system throughout their life.

"It allows kids to feel comfortable in school and makes an already difficult time for gender dysphoric kids just that much easier." My opponent fails to realize that one of the main arguments against this proposal is that people that don"t identify with the gender they were born with, will go into the wrong bathroom and make the non delusional people uncomfortable. My opponent also assumes that people who are gender dysphoric will not be look at wrongly by other people in those bathrooms, or even kicked out. In fact, if you look at this video you will see the treatment they will face.

"They need to feel supported in their gender identity at a young age, to instill the self confidence and assurance of a support system throughout their life." Actually, this youth needs to be more educated and know what is delusion and how not to partake in it. Delusion- a belief that is not true : a false idea. http://www.merriam-webster.com...
A delusion is someone saying that they are a gender, although there is evidence to the contrary that says this person isn"t. Someone can"t just change a fact just because they don"t like it. Truth is truth no matter how someone feels about it. I don"t get to be classified as handicapped person just because I want to be one. Being physically handicapped isn"t a social construct, because there is evidence that dictates whether you are or not. Thus we should not be promoting delusion.
