Should schools have separate lockers for gym?
Yes schools should provide separate lockers for gym.
Often times After gym i find my self having to walk to my locker in order to get my clothes then walk back to the showers and a locker room with no lockers. This takes away from my shower time and the time i have to go back to my locker to put away my gym clothes and time to get to my next class. At the end of the day when i return to my locker it often smells like sweat from my clothes. I feel that it would be more easier and more efficient we had lockers in the same area as the showers these would't have to be full size lockers just half so students could fit clothes, deodorant, and body wash like products.

*im new to this website so i apologize in advance for any mistakes.

I would argue that lockers near a school shower area are not needed.
Firstly, unless you are in a school with poor behavioural standards, you can simply leave clothes on a peg or something, a locker is an unnecessary expense.

Secondly, if lockers were to be instilled then eventually students would come to use them as a 'backup locker' or something like that. In other words, there wouldn't be anything to stop students using these lockers for non-shower stuff.

Thirdly, on a practical level, most lockers are made of metal. This, naturally, would be a bad idea in the high humidity air of a shower room. Sure, stainless steel may keep them working for a while, but what about all the padlocks that are provided by students? I doubt that all are smart enough to provide a stainless steel one. What happens next? The padlock's intricate systems get rusty and permanently unlocked or locked. In the case of the latter, the owner's possessions will be trapped in the locker.

Finally, keeping clothes in a high-humidity room isn't going to dry them very well compared to a locker in the main school storage area.
