Students should wear uniforms so it would cost less money. Parents don't have to use money for the clothes you want.

Although I'm not totally opposed to uniform, I'll accept this debate anyway.

First of all, the instigator's argument makes absolutely no sense. Buying uniform costs parents more money than not buying uniform... That's simple Maths.

Parents are buying students clothes for weekends and after school anyway, so they'll in fact be spending less money if they DON'T have to purchase school uniform.

Regarding @HAwoman's debate comment:

Getting school uniforms IS way less expensive than buying casual clothes because:
1- Uniforms don't go out of style, so there's no need to change them constantly.Kids want to look "cool" in front of their peers, so they'd like new outfits every semester.
2- Uniform clothing is made to last for a long time, so the need for them to be replaced is very small.
3- Even though kids still need casual wear for weekends, it is way more economic to buy clothes for just two days of the week, rather than seven.

In my personal opinion, kids should wear uniforms to school, but without highly strict codes and with room to express their individuality (with accessories, for example).
