I would like to debate with someone who doesn't think that security cameras should be installed during open houses. Here's my starting debate:
People frequently attend open houses with the ambition to steal an object. They find that open houses are good places to do this, for attending an open house usually doesn't cost any money, and is an easy access to objects in the house that is being shown.
Thus, to prevent such activity, I propose that there should be security cameras installed during open houses.
According to your statement "People frequently attend open houses with the ambition to steal an object." it sounds as if you are taking the word "People" and using it to identify all of humanity. The statement is not a fact and thus provides no support. An open house is just that "Open house" it should not be required but it should be optional but keep in mind cameras are not free. Someone will have to pay for that and is it really worth installing hundreds of dollars worth of cameras to protect a $50 dollar item? I wouldn't suspect someone would be able to steal something an item that is more than the camera cost without being caught and if they are not caught then who's fault is that really?
