Acceptance Round:
Position: I believe students should be required to wear uniforms if they go to a public school for a number of reasons.
First reason: certain students represent gangs and violence with the clothes they wear
2nd: it increases school pride.
3rd: It causes discipline.
4th: it takes away economic and social barriers between students.
The Pro side will go into detail with contentions providing a claim, data, and warrant framework to effectively display a valid argument for the audience to vote on in round two.

1. Students do try to represent gangs and violence with the clothes they wear. However, many public schools that still let students wear normal clothes have rules and regulations. And if those rules are not obeyed there are serious consequences for representing their gangs.
2.School pride is not represented through their clothes. School pride is also being an active student and participating in clubs, sports, etc. Students that refuse to participate are not going to start being active in their school by being forced to wear a uniform.
3. Uniforms do not enforce discipline. If students do not like their uniforms they will break the rules and rebel against the uniforms. Girls may wear pants instead of skirts. Girls may wear their skirts shorter than required. Boys will wear their pants low and hats and sweatshirts to cover their uniform. Students may also wear sneakers or other shoes instead of their uniform shoes.
4. Uniforms will not break any type of social barriers. Social barriers are formed by bullies that are either think they are better than others, not economically but personality wise and look wise.
