School is defined as an instiution for educating children. Mostly everyone from across the world is attending or attended school. There are a wide ranges of schooling whether its from public schools, private schools, christianity schools, summer schools, and post-secondary schools. Everyone goes to school to get graded on their performance, citizenship, and how good they are doing in classes. But should students get paid for obtaining good grades? I believe students should get paid for obtaining good grades.

Thank you for the debate.

Firstly, school and education is a privilege, not a fuel for money. A child goes to school ultimately to get a good education and be able to live a successful life after they leave. This is and always has been the fundamental basis of schooling. Achievement is something to be proud of and not something that should be stimulated through bribery. I don't think it is a good lesson to say to a child that they should work hard because they will get a bribe reward for it. Instead we should encourage children to do well in school for themselves and themselves only so that they can be successful and simply educate themselves. Payment for good grades is not teaching kids to be educated for their own personal benefit, it's teaching them that if they just learn whatever is thrown at them then they will get paid for it. With a money reward for good grades there is no actually motivating kids to be educated, just a motivation for money.

Secondly you have not specified who will be supplying this money. So whether it's the government or the parents could you please specify in the next round? (As I would like to make a point about that too)

I look forward to your response.
