Should students have homework, despite the 7 hours spent at school each week?

Although it may cut into children's activities and is very hated. I think it is necessary because it is a way for kids to test their knowledge without a teacher allowing them to remember what they learned better and homework is a good way for the teachers to find out w

Studies show that homework causes family stress, and can interfere with "family time." Homework also interferes with the kids daily exercise. If the school day was more productive, then we wouldn't have homework. Homework shows that teachers don't teach everything during that day. Homework is most likely rushed through because the kid wants to do something else.

Although I agree with family time but if a child should work on homework as soon as possible so they don't cut time into family time and extra curricular activities. School should be a priority because it will determine a child's future. If a child has any troubles with homework they should ask a teacher for help.

What about the comment about if the school day was more productive, then there would be no homework? Homework is busy work. Many teachers take a one-size-fits-all approach, and their assignments are rarely appropriate for the student’s specific needs. I think that they shouldn't have homework at all because they are over scheduling all ready and they procrastinate from doing it and its bringing down their grades. I tink we should not have homework because when kids get home, they might have chores, and on top of that, they have to do their homework, which is very overwhelming. If we did not have homework, it would make the teacher's job easier, because they dont have to grade every persons paper.

Are you done with this debate? Studies show that if homework takes more than 90 minutes to complete, then the students performance drops in school. Every day, more experts are saying that homework is bad for students. How does homework help you, ThankfulUkrainian? Give me some examples. Homework also negatively affects students" health. Students get stressed from homework. Their head hurts, they don"t want to hear anything, and they start hitting them selves. Students can actually get sick from homework. No one has gone as far as the American Child Association (ACA) did in the 1930s when it pinned homework as leading killers of children who had certain sicknesses. Take some time and think about what homework can do to kids. Do you really want homework?
