Pro

They should have homework but regulated homework meaning that they are being actively watched and helped if they don't understand something. There should be a set amount of time for it. I am currently Grade 8 in high school and there is a regulated amount of time for homework because I am a boarder. And even if we don't have homework, we still get to do things that challenge the mind. Saying that it causes brain damage means that you need to pay more attention to school because in the near future, we need those people who can step up, above the rest and achieve to their highest limits..
