I think Students should be allowed to bring their own devices to help learning skills such as organization, responsebility etc. Also In our day age kids and adults rely on electronics to do research type and everything else

If students are allowed to bring their cell phones around with them all day risks of losing or being stolen from increases. If your phone is stolen the school is not responsible for it and it is unlikely that you will get it back. The likelihood of dropping your phone in the hallway between classes in the hallway increases and there is a good chance the phone might break. The school has an adequate amount of devices so it is an unnecessary risk.

Stud's say students cannot benefit fully from a traditional educational program due to a disability that impairs their ability to participate in a typical classroom environment. For these students, computer-based technologies can play an especially important role. Not only can computer technology facilitate for students with disorders but also for students without disorders. This method is currently being studied by numerous university's in the state and currently studies say its right by 68.8%

Did u know wifi is actually a form of radiation? The wifi waves are electro-magnetic and a study published by Princeton university shows that they actually can be harmful to children. Yes children with disabilities can benefit from specific programs but why do they need their own personal devices to do so? Technology is very important in the modern day but schools need to find a way to balance between traditional schooling while keeping up with our rapidly changing world. BYOD isn't the way.

"Computing and computer technology are part of just about everything that touches our lives from the cars we drive, to the movies we watch, to the ways businesses and governments deal with us. Understanding different dimensions of computing is part of the necessary skill set for an educated person in the 21st century." Why not teach them now. Not only will they learn to adapt to the modern day life they will be learning all the traditional learning resources at the time.

Technology is a wonderful thing when used appropriately. For all the pros of technology there are cons. As social media grows the rates of suicide, anxiety, & depression increases. Throughout the last five years over 14% of teens between the ages of 15-19 have considered suicide, mainly because of mental disorders caused from cyber bullying. That is very alarming to me that schools are considering making it easier to cyber bully on their grounds. This needs to stop.
