Teenagers should not vote. Why should they decide which government should rule them or serve the country to make a path for their futures when they have not even contributed a single cent to the economy. We agree that even though the teenagers are planning ahead for what is best for them. However, why are they even concerned about a problem 5 years later about getting a job when they should be focusing on their studies. Allowing teenagers to vote is simply illogical.
Teens should be able to vote. Some teens have strong opinions about the candidates and some of these are informed opinions. If teens were allowed to vote they would pay more attention to the speeches and the candidates and would be more informed. But some teenagers wouldn't take it seriously, so as a middle-ground they could be able to have a percentage of a vote like the older you are as a teen you could get a slightly larger vote then a younger teen.
And about what you said about teens not even contributing a single cent to the economy. That is a falsification. Any teen that makes more than $400 as an independent contractor has to pay self-employment taxes. So, even if your teen doesn't make enough to owe federal income taxes, he or she will have to file a return and pay self-employment tax.
