As we all know the Brown's have a need to fill at the quarterback position. The Philidelphia Eagles have an excess there, in that many people think the Eagles have three starting quarterbacks in Vick, Kolb, and ofcourse McNabb. The Browns could get Vick for likey a second or third rounder and then could better address other needs in the draft or free agency.
Although Vick did show some promise, I still do not feel he is a good choice for the Browns. He is 29 years old and will turn 30 this year. He was never a very good passer and usually relied on his running ability. He will start losing speed and agility and his effectiveness with his greatest asset (his running ability) will certainly decrease like other prominent runners. Also, the Browns have started to show promise and the media distraction that would be Michael Vick would be a hindrance to the team. They have had an extremely disappointing search for a quarterback over the years, so one might see this as a great option. However, rather than continue this desperate search, the team should build a strong overall team with the plethora of draft picks this year and hold off on the quarterback. Most times part of the reason the quarterback failed was because of a lack of a team surrounding him. The Browns should hold off on Vick, because of the distraction and the fact that he is not a good option at this point.
