I believe that it should all go out for 3-4 hours a day. Kids now days are mainly glued to their electronic devices. Children with one or more electronic devices in the bedroom"TVs, computers, video games and cellphones"were also far more likely to be overweight or obese. They also are going to keep headaches more too. 57 per cent of students reported using electronics after they were supposed to be asleep, with watching TV and movies being the most popular activity. Twenty-seven per cent of students engaged in three or more activities after bedtime.
More sleep also led to significantly more physical activity and better diet choices, researchers found.
Co-author Christina Fung noted that children today are not sleeping as much as previous generations, with two-thirds not getting the recommended hours of sleep per night. In addition to healthy lifestyle habits, a good night"s sleep has been linked to better academic outcomes, fewer mood disorders and other positive health outcomes, she said.

No, first of all what time would that even happen? If there is a specific time what about the kids who only have that time to watch tv? If you are a parent and you are reading this debate you need to be responsible enough to take their privileges away at a certain time or after a certain time...well, if you believe that. I believe that tv going "off air" for 3 or 4 hours would be a problem to families and cable providers. It might even start a bigger debate. I need more information from your opinion to continue my side of the debate. Thank you and I'm not trying to start a fight.

First of all I'm not a parent. But as you stated they should take them away, but most parent now days do not. Plus if you pay attention to the news, look how many kids kill/harm their parents when they try to. If all cable providers do it, it would more than likely help drop obesity significantly. The more technology there ois the less kids want to go outside and actually make real friends. My personal opinion is that kids shouldn't have a phone, etc until they are at least 14. I know there's website that help kids learn and apps. But if you take the time to teach them and interact with them they will learn just the same.

It is not the governments job to make sure your kids are well raised and have a good moral compass and and understanding of the world that duty lies solely on the parents if a parent doesn't make there child go outside that is there choice and there child will be a consequence of that choice we do not yet know what that consequence will be maybe in 10-15 we can look back and say this was not the best idea but we have been doing it the same way for a long time and even a child with a computer can learn more in a day than most children in the 70s learned in high school i graduated high school 4 short years ago and i am in college some high school SOPHOMORES are doing work that i would find challenging imagine and adult trying to match the books smarts of their child it would be no contest that is not from going down to the watering hole i promise
