Putting it on the 25 makes the game safer? Give
me a break! What proof is there of this? None!
If I take a knee in the endzone, Im already a
quarter of the way to a touchdown! The game was
fine when touchbacks were at the 20 yard line.
Moving it up 5 more yards will not make the game
safer. This whole thing is a case of the NFL
overreacting to the amount of head injuries. Im
not saying that head injuries aren't important,
but this new rule wont solve the problem, so
therefore, there's no point in doing it!

Thank-you Flyinitalian88 for posting this. But I do think they are making the NFL a lot more safe because now when there is a ball off of a punt return kicked into the end zone it is giving the catcher an incentive to just kneel it because you are going to be half way to the end zone rather than taking the risk of getting hit hard and possibly injured for MAYBE a couple more yards than you would have if you would kneel.

kick offs are a part of the game, actualy its one of the biggest parts of the game. if less and less players are taking it out of the endzone, it would change the game completly. games would be less exciting, and more predictable. injuries are a part of the game. nobody can avoid injuries no matter how hard they try, they just happen. theyre not on purpose, they just happen. and another thing, logiclly speaking, less injuries occur on the kick off. think about this, guys who return the kickoff are one of the fastest if not thee fastest on their team. this means that these guys are in the best shape, and have stronger bones in their body. and alot of the guys on the kick off team are of the 3rd and 2nd string players who dont have alot of experience. with less experience, theyre less likely to make that big hit that will give a guy an injury. not saying that injuries never happen on kickoffs, im just saying that theyre less likely. the nfl needs to focus on parts of the game that happen more often. kickoffs are a very low percentage as far as number of plays in the whole game.

Yes, no one can totally prevent injuries. I know that, you know that, they know that. Its an obvious statement, but its how many injuries can we take out. Its getting to be a very physical and brutal sport. Maybe those 2nd string and 3rd strings aren't as good, but they are getting payed weekly monthly however often to play on a highly prestigious NFL pro team. They are not as good as everyone else starting but they are very good players. It only takes one single hit, whether lucky or not to seriously hurt someone.

It's already at the 20 yard line in the NFL, the current issue in the NFL (which as far as I know didn't pass) was to move a touchback up to the 25 yard line.

Because he is pro on the issue of moving it back? Kind of self explanatory.

It sounds like you're against moving it up, why are you taking a pro stance then?

what's changing it to 25 yards? Are you refering to Canadian football?
