There could be a kid from a foreign country that isn't American and doesn't follow American religion. The "under god" part doesn't apply to all cultures and religions

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to take part. in this debate.

As far as I am concerned, there is no "American religion". If you are referring to Christianity, that is certainly not an American religion. It was started in the middle east and then migrated to Europe. Christian Europeans then settled in the American continent. The "under god" part does apply to all religions. A religious man is always theist, while a theist man is not always religious. The definition of religion:

"the belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, especially a personal God or gods."

You said it does not apply to all cultures, but as far as I am concerned culture and religion are usually separate. While some cultures have religions, a person from a predominantly Christian culture could be Muslim or Hindu.

The pledge of allegiance is important for a child in America to memorize. While it isn't apart of other cultures, it is apart of OUR culture. The American culture. If you don't agree with "under god" then don't say it.

Under GOD cannot apply to all religion in the United States. There would need to be a precedent set that the United States of America has given representation to all religions in Constitutional judicial Separation.
The Common defense as a reply is that the Term GOD is a declaration to axiom and not a religious claim. As it has been held in Trust In the event of great tragedy to be placed on the Scales of Justice.

A Child can know that some words can be simply nothing more than groups of numbers. 400 G, 11 O, 500 D. The pledge of allegiance is nothing more for a child than a much more complicated way to say do not judge a book by its cover. That is how the red was placed on the flag.
