I am voting for the topic, the United States Federal Government SHOULD begin preparing for another cold war. After WW2, countries and its citizens world wide, were on edge, watching the arms race unload terror as biological and nuclear weapons were created and being stockpiled, in preparation for nuclear war. Recently with all conflicts coming up today, we are at the highest risk for a nuclear war. Like during the cold war, countries are still developing nuclear weapons, and these countries aren't necessarily our allies.
- "(CNN) -- Iran is lauding the successful test-firing of new missiles, including one designed to destroy "all types of enemy military equipment," state media said."
It is clear that we need to start preparing for the worst case scenario, in order to maintain world stability and keep our families safe.
The USFG should not prepare for another Cold War. Just to be clear, who would we be fighting? Russia? ISIS? Please answer that during your next round. The USFG has no potential threats at the moment, besides maybe ISIS but that is a smaller threat than we have seen in the past, like Germany, Russia, Japan and other enemy forces. The greatest threat we face is Russia experimenting with nuclear warfare. Please clarify with me who this "Cold War" will be fought against.
