If other countries can have free insurance, why can't the United States? The US is supposed to be this super-power, yet the government cannot adopt this policy. Many people who have insurance are still unable to pay the balance of their medical bills and even worse is that some hospitals even charge interest on these balances. If countries like India and Canada can have free insurance for all their citizens, surely the United States could do the same.
Yes, other countries do have healthcare for all of their citizens. However, I do not see how this is reason to go along with it. Remember telling your parents, "Please, all of my friends are going to that party."
In addition, someone is going to have to pay for all of this. Who? The taxpayers. Obviously the government cannot yet another expense and not increase revenue. So they are going to raise taxes.
Look at the healthcare provided by these countries you speak of. There are crazy long waits to be seen, if they even see you at all. In other words, government healthcare is terrible.
I am not willing to accept a healthcare program which I would have to pay dearly for and would not even be halfway decent just because other countries have this.
If there is no private insurance, then the money that would typically be spent paying for that could cover the other insurance. Also, instead of the government spending billions in fighting wars for their own agendas, the money that is spent there should be used to help our own people. How many billions are spent in helping other countries while our people are homeless, starving, unable to survive because of the economy? The economy wouldn't be as bad as it is if we did not constantly try to invade other countries. Bush is in charge of the Federal Reserve, so of course he wanted to go to war after 9/11. He becomes richer when we are at war.
You are asking for removal of private insurance. What right does the government have to take away a person's right to choose what their insurance covers. Making everyone have the same health insurance is basically communism. In addition, the wars that you are complaining about are to prevent future terrorist attacks on America. We do not try to invade other countries, we do take out threats to America's security. Are you also saying that you did not support going to war after 9/11. American citizens, completely innocent, were killed for what reason other than being Americans. We had to ensure that that never happens again.
Clearly, you support bringing communism into America and not defending it when freedom is threatened.
I am just as outraged as any other American about what happened on 9/11. But that is not really why we went over there. And now that Bin Laden has been dead, why are our soldier still over there? We ARE invading other countries. We give billions to other countries to not go to war with Israel. This is money that should go to the American people to help our citizens. The fact of the matter is this: We have sick, homeless, starving men, women and children yet instead of helping them, we focus on these other countries. Most of whom do not even like us. Why? Because we go over to their countries to provide "aid" when in actuality we are INVADING them. I have nothing against our military or anything. They just simply follow the orders given to them. I know plenty of military people that do not agree with going to these countries, yet they do so because that are their orders. The only reason why the President wants to go to these other countries is for his own gain. Heck, the citizens of the United States are trying to even get him indicted.
These are actual charges that are trying to be brought against Obama and Biden for their actions that are not only a threat to our military, but also to our National Defense just purely to suit their own agendas. It's time that the citizens realize what is going on and do something about it before everything gets worse.
No, we should not stay over in Iraq and Afghanistan. However, we must do something to ensure that attacks such as 9/11 do not happen again. Since America cares to much about human rights to just bomb the countries flat, we have to stay over there.
Now, let us not forget that this is about healthcare, not military. Why should I pay additional taxes to pay for someone's healthcare just because they cannot afford. Would you really tell your child to buy another kid a candy bar with the money he worked for just because the other kid had none. It wouldn't even be out of the goodness of his or her heart, it would be because he was forced to. That is what you propose. Forced charity.
