The Federal Reserve is a private entity which is not under the control of the people. They continue to print our money, which has caused inflation on a large scale. Our currency has no longer been backed by Gold, which would have limited inflation. As the citizens of the United States, we have no say in whether or not the Federal Reserve should stop printing money. If the Federal Reserve were to stop printing money, the President and other elected officials would have a limited ability to intervene in wars, give foreign aid to nations who aren't truly our allies, and continue to raise the debt ceiling, making it worse for all of us in the long run.
