The world today is always moving and changing! Since the Roman empire , the draft has been used counties times in the time of warfare. The draft or the random selective of civilians of a nation to be forced by law to serve in the armed forces . This in most nations mean that the stereotypical gender roles of men going going out to the battlefield to die for their nation. Which very brave and respected decision but should the government be able to make this choice for people is up for you to choose. But the issue at hand is that should a nation extended the daft to women.
Women have been quoted by several writers as "the founders of a society". Which is true. Most nations in The world have chosen to follow the harsh and unfair gender roles of a sexism and stereotypical world. That just because of your gender, you are looked as weaker or not brave enough to fight for freedom. Throughout the history of mankind, that women have been declined basic rights and freedoms because of the simple question of are you a boy or girl ?
Many people no matter what gender have stated that they could die fro their counties. But the government when comes to the draft have only picked boys. They think that males are able to kill or handle war better than their female counterparts.
I do not believe that the draft should be extended to women. It seems as though your argument rests on the idea that women should have the ability to be forced to fight for their country. This doesn't make any sense to me. For one reason, if women want to fight in the military then they can enlist. The draft is solely used for forcing people into service when it is considered necessary to do so. This would be unfair for women for many reasons. The first being quite obviously that not all women would be able to do this job. Biologically men are either stronger, or it is easier for them to gain muscle mass, so they will get stronger more quickly. This is not the case with women. There are many cases on the battlefield where you have to carry somebody because they have been wounded. Not all women would be able to do that, and you wouldn't be able to get them strong enough to do that in a short period of time. Additionally women have many other biological disadvantages when it comes to fighting. Things like Menstral cycles can make many women sick for an entire week every month, and make them unable to do things like run. Additionally you have to think about how it would disadvantage the men around them.
It is an evolutionary trait that men feel as though they need to protect women. I am not arguing if this is how it should be or not, but it is simply how it is. That's why most countries still don't allow women to be in a front line combat position, because it can cause men to put themself in harm's way unnecessarily. So in conclusion, there are biological factors for both men and women which make it a bad idea to draft women.
Your argument was very true.but I am personally not in favor of ever using it at all, but the debate was on if we both supported the draft, should the government make women help too. I as a male can not wait to be 18, the age of legal citizen as a adult. As a adult you get votingcivil courts sue, etc. But you also have to sign up to fight against your will when the government says so. This I believe is unfair for the man , just because we have the gender of man some how in the eyes of the government they think that all men are able to take a live away or fire guns. The same goes to the women they van be stronger than man sometimes. Maybe the draft should not be in placed?
