I find that if we censor the public from things going on in our world today we will never know what real changes need to be made. Our children of today need to know how to fix the problems going on in our world. If we censor our news and the media lies to us we will never know who to trust.
You have a point, but the censorship is likely happening because of possible traumatizing that could happen with not just children, but even adults. The reason they even do this is that they don't receive backlash from people about how, for example, their news made someone depressed and they suicide. Its a rather selfish effort, only worrying about themselves, but its what I personally think is going through their heads.
That is very true but if we do not show everything on the news how will we fix any problems. Yes some people may find the uncensored news very depressing or offensive but they have the right not to watch it. We don't force people to watch the news. We can also have different news channels ones that are censored for the more sensitive viewer's. But for people like me ( as a young teen) find that we should be able to know everything so we may fix the problems going on in our world.
Yes, but some people's curiosity will get the best of them and they'll file lawsuits anyway claiming its their fault. Before you say the court would be in favor of the news, there have been some cases where that's been the opposite and the unlikely has happened. Kudos to you though for being worried about our current issues, not many teens really care about them.
