Parents should be responsible for their teeenagers actions because teens act like their parents at this time.

I accept this debate. I personally do not think parents should be held accountable for someone else's mistake. I will not make any arguments yet, since this is the acceptance round. Good luck!

Parents are the one that care for us. They should be responsible if we mess up.

First of all, let me ask you this. If a child kills other people, should the parents receive the responsibility for what their child did? Should they really receive the death penalty? I think not.

Secondly, in a recent study done by Harvard, 79% of teens are more influenced by their peers than by their parents. Teenagers are more likely to make a stupid mistake because of what their friends influenced them to do. Should we hold friends liable as well? No. Peers are more influential in decisions than parents.

Okay let me ask you this. If the child is home-schooled it does not have any peers. If the child does not have any pupils around them to pressure them does it make the peers responsible? No, so the only people the child will be around will be the parents or other family.

Are you saying if a child is homeschooled that they don't have any peers or friends? You are wrong my friend. I have several friends who are homeschooled. Secondly, we can not be prejudice towards home schooled kids and have stricter policies on their parents, that is very unlawful. You arguement is invalid.

I had fun debating with you, thanks and I hope we can debate again sometime!
