Con

I believe that once you have been committed to the decision of doing things that resulted in killing of another person, then your life is not of greater value of the one that you have killed. Us, Americans are giving these murders the oppurtunities to be brought into this world yet again and who says that they their actions won't remain the same as before. And yet we are paying for them to have a full entertainment system as they sit in the jail system soaking up our tax money. And when they get out of jail, the likeness of getting a job is slim to none because of their background. Then they are then using welfare because they seem to have to need governmental assistance, but decided to break the law? No much sense there. instead of giving them life, why don't we either stricter the justice system or use the death penalty as an alternative for an under-populated jail system and an example of a punishment that fits the crime.

In my opinion there should be a death penalty because some murderers will keep killing if you let them out. If you keep a murderer in jail for life you have to pay for food and entertainment. This is how the death penalty is easier and cheaper .

So clearly, you are agreeing with what I am saying because I am against the resolution that " the death penalty SHOULD be abolished."
killer102

Pro

No I think the death penalty is cheaper and easier

Sooooooo.....this is obviously not your topic of discussion or you are still stunned from the common sense factor of this whole thing. We are both on the same side. So end of dbate.

Resolutions should not be questions, they should be decalarative statements. Then it's much easier to tell who is Pro and who is Con. In this case the instigator track8493 wrote an ambiguous resolution, andthen made matters worse by taking the Con position, a double confusion. However, reading Con's opening statement made it clear enough that he was pro death penalty.

Who Did You Agree With Before The Debate:
Con. I actually think we should advance the Death Penally. In fact, I think we should abolish the whole U.S. Justice system and rebuild it with no trial. Murders, rapists, terrorists, and many more people do not deserve trials. And if the people actually committed the crime, and got away, is a failure.

Who did you agree with after the debate:
Con.

Who had better conduct:
Tie.

Who had better spelling and grammar:
Tie.

Who made more convincing arguments:
Con. The Pro barley made an argument.

Who used the most reliable sources:
Tie. Either Pro or Con used sources.

Should we allow these people to keep breeding?? I'm not saying one way or another. It is just something to think about.

There is something known as "the warrior gene". This gene causes monoamines in the brain to not be oxidized properly. This can cause a high level of monoamines such as serotonin in the brain which is believed to make people homicidal. The people with this gene are potentially extremely violent. You can read an article about it at the following: http://www.sciencedaily.com...
