We should believe in God. Without God, where would we be? Nowhere. This country was built on God, and on God alone. He is on our money, he is in our Pledge of Allegiance, he's in everything. And anyways, what's the harm?

Rebuttals:
"We should believe in God."
Why? You have an assertion, without support to raise it into an argument.

"Without God, where would we be? Nowhere."
Actually, we'd probably be right here at our computers. Please provide your proof that we would be "nowhere" instead.

"This country was built on God, and on God alone."
Actually it's been historically proven to have been built upon the back of slave labor [1]. Unless you are committing Ad Hominem attacks against God, saying slave labor is a good thing God endorses, your line of argument already fails. If you believe God likes slavery, I will offer counter points against that.

"He is on our money, he is in our Pledge of Allegiance, he's in everything."
Fallacious appeal to tradition. During WWII German Soldiers wrote God on their belt buckles to guarantee they would win the war [2], notably they lost.

"And anyways, what's the harm?"
A belief in waiting for Jesus to bring about armageddon stance to the world's problems [3], as opposed to actually setting out to make a positive impact on the various things with group effort we could correct.

Argument:
In addition to the above, the main source of belief in God is the bible, a book which directly contradicts itself. Everyone from the dry/oceans in Genesis, to how Jesus is of the blood of David only through his father Joseph who had no part in getting Mary pregnant. We should believe in logic, instead of things that self contradict.

Than there is the fact highlighted by pro about belief in God supporting anti-women views, by claiming God is male, which pretty directly contributes to anti-human views against women are the idea that they committed terrible crimes by being born which they then must be punished for (which contradicts the basic idea of Jesus Christ having done anything about original sin).

Within the scope of this debate, there is no reason to believe in God, unless you really hate women and/or people who have been subjugated into slavery (blacks, Irish, etc.).

Reasons for voting decision: I agree with jujubean... but they did a really bad job of arguing their point and ragnar had a logical argument.
