Con

Since my opponent has forfeited this round, I will make no rebuttals.

First, a one world government will definitely NOT work. Cultures across the globe are indredibly varied and a single system of government most certainly will not suit certain places. Even countries like the U.S, we have INCREDIBLE division between democrats and republicans. To take a political division to a world scale is crazy.

Secondly, we have seen that when a republic gets too big, it always fails because the lower class is unrecognized. Lower class groups would be left in the shadows of big-wig politicians and the upper-class.

Thirdly, the struggle for power WILL lead to Civil-War. With tensions between certain countries, there were always be a struggle for power and ownership of the Single World Gov't. For example, we can tell right away that the U.S and Russia, and to a certain extent China would all want to have their politicians be rulers. This simply would lead to division of our "one nation" within the time it takes to elect a leader/leaders.

I rest my case.

Reasons for voting decision: Pro doesn't present any arguments, while Con shows that a one-world government won't recognize a lower class, can't be implemented and will lead to civil war; speculative impacts, but still outweigh Pro's. Vote Con.
