The minimum wage should not be put at $15.00 an hour because it will cause rapid inflation, and will not end poverty in America because minimum wage is not suppose to be a living wage.

Definitions:

Inflation: Rise in prices for goods and services

The minimum wage should be raised to $15.00 because many people rely on their minimum wage to buy basic essentials when really, there is no way. A McDonald's worker in California that I interviewed asked for a raise for their family but money from their paycheck got taken away. The minimum wage must be raised to $15.00.

And what happens when that Big Mac cost $8.00 and you have to lay off half of your employees or have to start implementing automaated systems to fulfill orders?

No no welfare something that you can get if make less then 12,000 a year. I'm not for $0.00 wages, or outsourced jobs

Damian has the right idea, the minimum wage should always be $0.00, therefore, companies will not be pressed by corporate welfare and artificial monopolies to outsource jobs to offshore sweatshops. :)

FDR also started welfare and government programs that do not work.

FDR put in the minimum age as a living wage though.

Accept the debate and we can talk about it more. But I said rapid inflation.

Unless you are simply opposed to any minimum wage... You state that raising the minimum wage will cause inflation. However if it has already occurred, workers are currently being paid less than they were when minimum wage was last set.

Say you are paid 100 cents at year 0, and a small amount of inflation has occurred steadily over 5 years since, in year 5 you are handed only 75 cents at the value of year 0 money.

Could you rephrase that?

Assuming inflation happens anyway, what is your solution to it effectively causing people to be paid below the previously set minimum wage?
