It is important that we use LFTRs instead of regular nuclear energy mostly because it fixes the major problems of regular water coolant reactors. This one uses thorium instead of uranium and it is more abundant and cheap. Since it uses molten fluoride salts as a coolant there is a very, very low chance that it will ever have a meltdown.

Hello,
I am against using Liquid Fluoride Thorium Reactors, as they create lots of waste. We cannot dispose of the waste just as we cannot keep Hillary from hiding her emails. We must jail her and lynch her for her crimes against america. She was the worst secretary of state in the history of the United States. Join my movement to arrest Hillary here:

Reasons for voting decision: Pro argued that LFTRs are better than regular nuclear energy because it solves the problems of cost and safety. Pro therefore demonstrated that replacing current nuclear plants with LFTRs would improve the world. Con argued that LFTRs create lots of waste. As per the official In-depth Voting Guide, I shall balance the waste point with Pro's point. Since current power plants also produce similar toxic waste, using LFTRs would be a net benefit. Thus, Pro's arguments are more effective. Pro gets conduct because Con insulted Pro in round 2.
