Pro

Slavery should be legal again
baus

Con

Slavery should be legalized perhaps, but it would be impossible for it to be legal.

Legal is an adjective, not a state of being nor a verb.

baus

Con

Enslavement can be legal but slavery can only be legalized.

A noun cannot be legal only a verb can.

Slavery is indeed an adjective. Adjectives describe nouns. Slavery is a noun. Slavery can be legal.

Really? There is no way they are going to legalize slavery again. The 13th Amendment prohibit the acts of slavery except if it's punishment for a crime. Even if they wanted to legalize slavery, the citizens would protest, Obama would very likely not enact that law, the people in Congress would deny passing the law including Senators and Representatives as well. It would do more harm than intended.

Reasons for voting decision: Con's last round made me laugh, so, absent any other basis to judge, Con wins.

Reasons for voting decision: Conduct was almost even but pro was just a little bit worse, so con gets it. S&G goes to Con since the pro used a hashtag, lol, didn't use the right form of right and didn't word the resolution correctly as pointed out by pro. Also, pro didn't make an argument. Kind of a pitiful debate, but these are the points deserved.
