Smoking is already a terrible thing. It is proven that smoking harms your body in multiple ways, and often times leads to death. However, the argument is on whether the smoking age should be lowered to 13, and I say no. The first reason would be the health issues that it poses to a child in development. These kids will be more negatively affected than an adult who smokes. Another point would be that is people started smoking this young, they would be much more likely to become addicted to smoking as they grew up. This is already a proven fact, and lowering the age would only serve to heighten these numbers.
