Students across the globe are being intellectually judged by their test performance. Is this a correct way to measure intelligence? Standardized testing is stressful, demanding and uncalled for, and unjust way to determine true intelligence. Not only standardized testing, but the overall push for becoming a "perfect well rounded student". This generation is raised upon the idea that they need to push themselves academically, volunteer regularly, and participate in sports and extra curricular activities. However, is this the best way to learn? Everyone learns different and has a different passion they should pursue. Why the stress to fit the perfect student mold? With increasing college tuition the pressure is on more than ever to fill the mold, and for many students, this isn't the best way to learn, and instead of gaining intelligence, they are accumulating stress and unneeded pressure.
